Dead pixels are heapened to me on my Canon Power shot G3. Not too much, just a few, but they are visibals. The questions are if I can do anything with theme to repair and made my camera as it was and if it is progressive? Thanks one more time

Are the hot/dead pixels on your LCD (back of camera) or are they on your image sensor (they show on you pictures when looking at them on your computer)?

Some Cameras have Pixel Mapping, I do not think yours does but check your manual. If it does not have this, you need to send it in for repair and they will go into the camrea an mark the pel bad and it will use data from the other pickups around it. Camera CCD's are not usually perfect when they are made....Time will bring out new weak links in your CCD.

Question, Is it a black pixel or red/blue/green? Does it show up at 1000/ths of a sec or just during dusk and night shots?

HEY HARDCORE POSTER.....Do you have the night noise reduction on? That camera should not have bad pixels at night with that set on.....Oh, and you should have Pixel Mapping on your Oly
