After taking a third look at this I found that I kinda liked it.
So I am on a quest for improvment ... any one have any ideas...
("scrap it" is an option... I wont feel bad :) )

The textures are nice however the railing across the lower half of the door is distracting. If it's the door/doorway that's interesting then I would try and get a different angle to eliminate, or at least diminish, the distraction of the railing. i.e. reshoot and try all sorts of vantage points.

I think the diagonal rail is cool. The horizontal one adds too much clutter to the overall image. But the texture is cool.
Might be worth trying to reshoot?

The railing is my problem with it also.
Because of how it is constructed there was no way to get in closer without it...
Photoshop magic might be in order but I am not sure that that could be done with out screwing up the look that I wanted...

I say play around with it see what comes out. I did an edit [hard to do on a small image] to try to make the door look like it was between the two rails. If you like the textures, I say keep it and play around with it until you get what you like out of it.
