Does this flash fire with the canon on board flash? being the 580ex the slave flash.. If yes how do i do it?

one more question does the 580ex flash work on my Sony f707?
Without damaging the camera or the flash...

It's only compatable with Canon

It will fire on your sony, but only in manual mode.... So you'd need a meter, or multiple exposures and histogram peeping to get a correct(ish) exposure.

It wont do any of it's magical auto stuff with your sony.

LOL, if something has to get broken i hope it's the flash and not the camera. since the cameras warranty has already finished...
(knock on the wood).

It's more complicated to make that flash work correctly than the camera LoL! So full of stuff.

I am having a hang of it, but i just recieved it today so i know when i start having more need to use more things i will be back here asking them... :) hehe.
