How I spent last night.

I road with the B shift of the Terre Haute Police Department last night. The weather bad and it was a slow night. This is some of what I shot last night. This is for my book âTerre Haute Heroesâ due to come out late September I hope.

Hurrah for the men (and women) in blue from Terre Haute! It must have been an exciting night, even if it was slow. Nice photos too! :)

Wheeling through town at 65 to 70 with lights and siren on the way to the car wreck was the highlight of the night. They did a lot of things that were not very photographic but needed to be done. I think the men and women of the Police and Fire Departments donât get the reorganization they deserve, thatâs why I am doing the book. Itâs for them.

Good for you and good for them! You are 100% right, the Police and Fire Departments do not get nearly as much recognition as they deserve. Good luck with your book!

Thanks Iâll need it. This is becoming much bigger than I thought it would. Everyone is asking âWhen can I get one?â and I still havenât got a publisher to commit to the project.

Just a thought - When people ask when they can get one maybe you could get them to fill out a mailing / waiting list. When you get plenty of names on the list show it to the publisher as proof of interest / marketability.

btw, great job on the shots - looks like it will be a big success!

There will be a memorial on 9-11 (probably many nationwide). Prints will be displayed and for sale at that time to anyone who wants to purchase them. The fire department and emt's will have the prints hanging on their trucks and vehicles. Our goal is to expose the general public to the many good deeds and dangerous situations these fine people perform, and the serious training they go through to be able to do this. The book is the final product. Advance ordering is a possibility at the time of the showing. There will also be a CD slide show avaialable for purchase, that will be shown at the memorial. Bill (sofap)& I (sofapez) have differing ideas on certain aspects of the project and are looking for input... so have at it.

Hey Sofap, you need to do a pictorial on the LAPD and the LA Sherrifs Dept., and call the book "Shots Fired; The Highest Score", or " The Flack Jacket Project", or " How I managed to smuggle my pictures out without getting shot", or " To serve, to profit, and friendly fire "
