I have my 350D for a week now and I got the sigma EF 500 DG super with it. The problem I have is that neither the built in or the sigma flash will preflash so my exposure is always bad. I don't know if E-TTL is something that have to be enabled. I looked on the internet and re-re-read manual instructions for three days but I don't find nothing. If somebody know the solution it would help me a lot. Thanks!

You don't have to enable anything. It is just there. The Sigma flash however will NOT get you ETTL-II.
