I've been looking at getting one of the thin sony cameras.

1st off, what is the differance between these 2 (besides the $100 in price)

Also I've read the they have a hard time with red eye. Is this true or do people just not know what they are doing?

I currently have a Canon S50 (5.0mp). I like everything about it except for the weight/size, thats why I'm looking at these sonys.

From briefly looking at the forums on dpreview I would stay away from these cameras especially since you're used to the quality of your current camera.

If a smaller camera is what you're looking for why not consider one of the smaller Canons or the Pentax Optio S5i (or similar).

T1 and T7 is better then Pentax optio. Firstly Sony CCD sensor is one of the best sensor in the market(Nikon also use Sony sensors) and these are very small cameras to carrying for everyday in the pocket. T7 is the newest version of T1. I have a T1 and the image quality is perfect. If you don't think for a DSLR, you can buy a Sony T7 as it is the newest version.

If you turn on the red eye reduction, there isn't a great problem with red eyes. I use it contuniosely on.

If I stay with Canon, I'm looking at the SD400 (5pm)
