I would like to have suggestion on how to place a large group (30-35)

This is planned for next week and will be done outdoor. It will be taken around noonish (not happy about that). I am thinking of setting up some fill in lights if its bright sunlights.

Take the picture from about 7 feet off the ground.

I am looking for suggestions

Thanks a million

Noon is deadly, man. If you got studio strobes with portable power packs you can use for fill, you might survive. Otherwise the shadows on the faces are gonna be depressing. Your best bet is to find open shade to shoot in, but good luck with that at noon. Organizing the people by size is important, and of course think about a seated/kneeling/standing tier arrangement. High is not necessarily best, depends on the background and horizon it reveals. With 30 people you can do 3 rows of 10, seated/kneeling/standing, from a low angle and remove a lot of distraction from BG that way. But if you go for height, you have pattern options as well, like circles or arcs, whatever.

Been along time since I did this. Always hated it, LOL.

Thanks Robt,

By the slow response rate on this thread I think most people do not like it either. I am hoping an overcast day maybe rain because it would be rained out (LOL)

I am open to any other suggestions . . . Big large sky sail maybe?

I always like to try a panoramic with a series of closer images taken then paste them together...makes for a better pic sometimes. Good luck.
