Sorry for those who love them. I've seen enough. A week without would be great.

I don't mind so much the birds, and flowers are fine except that often they fit the challenge so loosely... Some of these shots are pretty darn good images but one must truely stretch their imagination to find a connection to the challenge. The same applies to sunset and sunrise images and old archetectual (sorry, failed spelling)buildings. But then my biggest GRIPE is oversaturated, over sharpened images...

Lets have a challenge called "raw footage" where post processing is limited to standard color adjustments and see what comes up. Now that could really sort out the men from boys and the women from the girls.

I'm holding back the urge to post my newest bird shot. lol
Good idea. Can we add: no bugs, no horses, no cats, no kids, no dogs?
Then maybe, just maybe, I might get motivated to go to the city for a day or two. Nature and animals is all I get to see out here.

This is why good constructive feedback when you rate pictures is needed.

Unfortunately, most of the feedback goes to the high-scoring pictures, making it difficult for amateurs (such as myself) to learn. DPC could be extremely helpful if we could leverage the expertise of one another and give more feedback to pictures that really need feedback.

Just my 2cent.

Good point... I took to stating the reason an otherwise good image is getting a lower vote from me. One of these days someone will get p-o'd at me I'm sure, but opinions are what run this site and keep us coming back for more.

LOL Are, those are terrific photos BTW.

I'm now wondering how many ducks or lilacs we'll see in the "apple" challenge. Now THAT would be a trick.

If there is a will, there is a way.
I thought about an apple with a nice sunset in the background (LOL).
Last night I tossed an apple into a flock of geese, but it became buried in the grass and the geese thought it was rude not to cut it up and threatened me like only geese can. :)

You will notice that birds and flowers work their way into and perfectly fit almost every challenge. Outside of Bridges, of course and I think I may have seen a few in there too.

There should be a button that says "Always meets Challenge"

As long as we have a challenge with no people in them, or buildings.

I be surprised if we don't see quite a few birds in the silhouette challenge... The winner of the recent minimalistic challenge is a good example. The same picture would have been a good ribbon candidate for silhouette.

But I agree birds and flowers tend to dominate many of the challenges.

I can see the outcome of the combined result

Nothing against the photographer of this photo.
