I thought I would share a couple of pieces of my nondigital art with everyone. I hope you enjoy it. And as always comments are welcome. And yes I know Restained is OOF.

That's great stuff. Is that style or theme steady in your work?
What do you use it for?
They eyes on #1 are cool and the hair color really adds to the dynamic which also brings out some movement.
I took a few shots last weekend (now in my portfolio) that I had trouble shooting but made progress on. Give'em a look.
Does anyone else here at DPC have any artistic endeavors outside of photography?

No I don't realy have a theme, style, or subject tht I follow. I have created abstract, arhetectural, nudes, horror, and realism peices. As for there use well they look pretty on wals and I have sold a few when pressured into it by a good price. In general I just creat them and they serve no purpose but my enjoyment. So everyone feel free to share your non photographic art here as well.

found these pastel drawings inside a draw and made an image of it
these are dated '96 and i have about 50 of them produced all within 2 months (food for shrinks i guess)
i can t really draw and i only did this for a very short while
i remember most of them i did while drinking my morningcoffee by just placing a mirror in front of me and trying to draw what i saw or felt
technical they are rubbish but i keep them as a memory
it was not the most happy period in my life and that shows i think
also i remember i was having deep interests in the art of painting and names like van Gogh and Egon Schiele popp my mind
hope u dont mind me sharing this

That's funny because I viewed these sketches before reading your post and Egon Sciele came straight to mind.....only better and minus the porn. Very nice work.
I'm a huge Schiele fan.

very interesting peices though they are all the same person on the top row you look kind and knowing. On the bottom row expecialy the middle one you look large and brutish.. it's kind of interesting to see the variations one would have by drawing the same person repeatedly.

those are really beautiful works.
Tristalisk - I am already in love with your manga elf. As for the other one, it looks good. But I want to see a better photo of it ;-)
messerschmitt - these are good! I like the so different variations of the same subject.
Can I take use of your thread here to show off some art of a different kind too?
Edit: just trying no to be too rude...

Cool! thank you :-)
So here are some of my ceramic works I did between '92 and '96.
Most of it is displayed at my parents house and I never took any photos of, but these are some that I liked and have their photos.

Thank you so! This is really something I enjoyed doing and unfortunately had to quit for some real silly reasons.
And now I have to choose between going back to that, or saving the money for my dream Nikon D70 cam. tough one, hu? |

I posted these here over the weekend trying to figure out the best way to photograph things that I did this year. Selling art is hard....giving it away can be even tougher, sometimes. I have two friends that want this piece but one guys wife is a pain in the $#@* and wanted to see photo's. Which is fair, of course and it also made me take some shots and learn a thing or two of value.
detail 10 X 15
jin-I really like the 3D and black woman.

No I don't think they are scaring. I think you look tired in most of them. Well, not exactly tired. I think weary is a better word.
IAnd yet I like those better. Maybe because you are less angry in them. |
