Can anyone help me with a translation from english?

all I want is "my family", is it something along the line of

moj familija?

or

moja obitelj (more croatian-sounding)

I looked up a translator on the net and it was saying "moj" without the a at the end...?

It has to do with the grammar of the language. It depends on the noun that comes after the "my" or "moj"

For masculine, you would use "moj"
For neutral, use "moje"
For feminine, use "moja"

and that is singular.

For plurals use:
M: "moji"
N: "moja"
F: "moje"

and don't get me started on noun declensions.. all the above applies only to the first declension (of seven total in the language).

English is way too easy...

Edit: family (familija or obitelj) is feminine noun in Croatian.
