HL2 and CS:S! :)
And UT and Quake come joint second obviously :)

I made it through HL2 fine, but recently it just gives me too much motion sickness. Sometime in the last few months I've hit some kind of age barrier.

I'm a living room gamer personally, so I prefer the Xbox. Splinter Cell in 92" diagonal with Dolby 5.1 is a thing of beauty. Halo 2 ain't half bad either.
Used to play UT, but I'm just not down with the video card rat race thing (though I have a radeon 9800 pro). I also *sucked*, for many of the reasons mentioned in the article. And I can't button mash very well on a keyboard. |

Who says you have to have the latest GPU? I could run UT2k3 on onboard without too much trouble--unless there were a ton of people playing and we all met in one giant battle.
Personally, I WANT them to tax the technology to the limit, to push the envelope every time. It's a major reason why the technology keeps growing, I think, because the demands put on the existing technology are consistently being pushed beyond the limit. I'm no expert on anything I'm talking about, but that just seems to make sense to me. Don't get me wrong, though, I can completely agree with you on the "MO POWAH!" feeling. It's just that, as you said, that thought echoes with "MO MOOLAH!" |

Unreal was awesome... Unreal Tournament was awesome... and then there was this huge blur of sequels and the POS that Unreal II was and I just lost interest. I'm waiting for the next big online game.. HL2DM is complete junk, CS:S is new oldness, and I'm just not interested in the time investment that WOW requires.

Entire Quake series is the biggest mistake in GAMING HISTORY. On the other hand Unreal tournament (classic and 2004 ) are one of the best games (just after half life 2 and half life original).
I love Unreal Tournament (in fact i am the best UT player in my college)...And yes UT is not for girls and it can beat the hell out of quake any day (in fact check out at gamerankings.com to see which is better)
