Overall a nice shot with an interesting overhead perspective which showcases the concentric design of the floor tiles. The table does not catch my eye...perhaps it appears too plain, or a bit out of place.

Perhaps the placement of the table near the bullseye formed by those rings may improve this image, but then you might not have the luxury of rearranging it.

Does NOT meet the challenge.

Oh, uh....er um. Sorry I'm on automatic with that one.

I would have liked to have seen this in the minimalism challenge even though the table and chairs....... "take up too much space" and you're only one chair short for the Five challenge, come to think of it.

Nice composition. Is it for anything special?

Interesting comments, thanks and keep em coming, Nothing special Steve. It's just that I have been looking down from our office balconies for years now and the visitor waiting area ( there are three tables in all) gives out a quiet relaxing feel to it and I just tried to capture it on picture.

Like the shot, don't like the table...

I like how the semicircles of the floor enter & exit at the photo corners and how the vase is slightly off-centre on the table. I think a spilled cup of coffee on the table would add some mysterious interest.

I happen to think...... that it a very nice shot.
The contrasting cool and warm tones work well as do the similarities of the various shapes. The flowers could be yellow or another bright color as the lavender fades away(a sinle white rose with bright green stem and leaves, hmmmm?). The flowers and chairs could be perfectly placed, they are a little off target. And in utopia, the light might be nice if it where more even, but it is quite lovely as it is. I can certainly see what you see (I think).
I say: Set the shot_place boundary guards and reshoot for perfection.

some people would consider this a minimalistic pix because of the neg. space, even though thats just one part of minimalism.

nice comp, good lines, nice lighting, nice perspective, almost looks minerature, color ok

I like the shot just as it is. It has a 3D feel to it or me. The placement of the vase and circle table working with the lines in the floor work well.

Can't understand why anyone would not like the table, without it the image is boring. The contrast between concentric circles of the floor and the circular, nicely colored table is what makes the image good.

The table smoothness and color works beautifully in this image. The table shadows have very smooth transitions which gives the image contrasting interest to the rugged flooring.

Decent use of the rule of thirds but you can do better. First, center the flower container EXACTLY in the center of the table and move/crop the image to place it EXACTLY centered on the upper left ROT intersection point. You might also try repositioning the table such that the center of the floorings concentric circles is EXACTLY centered at the bottom right ROT intersection point. That could make for a very interesting pattern.

You might consider a primarty color, like red or blue, for the flowers in the vase. Lastly, I would apply light dodge and burn to the flooring to add texturing to the image.

I think you would be very happy with the result.

Here's my edit. Hope you don't mind. Boosted contrast & saturation. Reduced brightness a little.

The original looks (a little too much) like it's been run thru Neat Image. Don't know if I'm right about that. If so, try reducing the NI's filtering sensitivity a little.

Hope that helps.
