i have this lens //www.dpchallenge.com/lens.php?LENS_ID=1115 and for some reason none of my pictures turn out. manual focus sucks really bad with this lens for me. I have tried over and over to focus on my subject and the only way it comes near to being in focus is to zoom all the way out and by then the subject is so far away i cant tell if its in focus or not.

Is this the lens you are asking about? Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Did you get it with your Rebel? Have you used other lenses ? and do they work better?

We usually call that the kit lens. I got one with my 20D too. If your camera works correctly with the Tamron, perhaps there is something wrong with your kit lens. How does it do if you use auto-focus? Were you ever able to get good photos with it?

no the photos with that lens have always sucked thats why i never used it. i bought the camera used. Cause i see other photos taken with that lens and theres no way this one will take photos like that because everything is zoomed out and out of focus.

In what way do they not turn out? Focus wrong? |

Might be helpful if you post some shots taken using the lens?
