Colette, those are Tree Swallows. Beautiful little birds but very difficult to photograph because the are so small, fly very fast and don't stay put for long. I tried to shoot some of them myself this afternoon but my shots are not nearly as good as yours, well done.

Thanks Harvey.
It was all about pre-focus, standing very still and being patient. I also used a tripod and the remote shutter release.
