I used to live here. It was a very tough spot in my life; there was a time when three of us survived on $80/week, and that was several steps up from how it was before. It wasn't the worst time, but it was one of the lowest points I've had so far (I'm still young!). And, for those who commented on it when it was in the challenge, the satellite dish was already there - people left one behind at the house I live in now, too. |

loathe away....when i was young we had it very rough...now my husband and i and our 3 children live here....we have been married 20 years and built this house 4 years ago....never give up hope ...its not about where you live .....its about who is there with you |

I've been up an down (financially - and I do mean drastic changes; my mom and I went rags to riches and back several times over the course of my childhood and teenage years) so many times already, I honestly don't have any hatred, just a touch of envy: I've never lived in a brand new house before, and I always wanted to :) I did learn to drive in a nice, new car though, so I guess that sort of evens it out. I actually live in a lovely house now - an old one with high ceilings and gardens and such - but I've always wondered what it must be like to have a new house where everything's fresh and unused. I've tended to live in houses that were lovely on the inside but didn't have much curb appeal... and the windows in those new houses... ahh. I love pretty, rounded and paned windows :)
