What do you guys think of these 2 pictures?

At first look, it is easy to write off the second one before the first. But a patient approach is needed for the lake scene. The colors are flat and the framing by the branches may be a little harsh (fuller branches would benefit), but after spending some time on it, I see that is the goal, maybe the last bit of winter before spring comes full force. Maybe life on the brink. The tulip picture's angle is a little bothersome and that red light is distracting, but the concept and arrangement of the tulips, along with the color spectrum is something to appreciate.

I like the lake shot. The natural framing with the branches suits the picture well and the treeline leads your eye into the photo.
The tulip shot is also good, although I do prefer the lake shot. They certainly stand out well from the background.
