I'm stumped. I can not get the second-curtain synch to work with the st-e2 and 2 580ex. They will work with one of the 580ex used as the master. I really want to get the st-e2 to work in this situation. Any Ideas?

I went over the manual a number of times. Thanks.

Both the flash and the 20D have options to set 2nd-curtain synch. Have you tried the in-camera setting? (it's one of those custom functions)

I know that if the flash is mounted on the camera, then the flash settings (for the 550 and 580) will override the in-camera setting. Why? I dunno... I guess Canon felt the flash was smarter than the camera. So you have to set 2nd-curtain synch on the 550 and 580.

But the problem I think you're running into is that the flash isn't mounted on camera... you're using the st-e2 instead. So my guess is, you have to use the in-camera setting instead of the flash setting.

I haven't tried it myself (don't have the st-e2). Let us know how it works out.
