Caused by papers offering cash for camera phone output - like the driver travelling the wrong way down an A-road caught by cameraphone and sold for quite a bit to the Sun et al. a few months ago. |

I can't imagine what paper would offer money around here for even the most spectacular crash. It's like trying to get blood out of a stone trying to sell photos around here, and the paper I linked to has a policy of not buying any photos, no matter how good or important unless it comes from a staffer, or a select list of long established freelancers. (I'm not bitter, LOL) |

i find it interesting that there is a 'call for witnesses.' the odds are probably against it, but what if someone caught something useful on one of those camera phones...what would they say then... |

Just another example how technology is transforming our basic common senses into a self centered, stupid, rude, lazy, greedy, inhumane, ass wipe society.

without which there would be no internet, let alone DPC or even digital cameras...
compromise, compromise, compromise, with a healthy dose of greed and capitalism thrown in!
I must admit that there are some countries in this world that seem to have the best of both worlds. The Scandinavian countries in particular seem to have a pleasant blend of technology (I think that the Swedish post service provides everyone in the country with an official e-mail address) and mad car rallying action, with scenery, dog sleds and saunas. And the odd (very expensive) beer thrown in.
Countries like the US, Japan, and increasingly the UK, put commercial pressures perhaps a little too far ahead of lifestyle benefits. Making them rich enough to supply the sensible countries with consumer goods at cheap prices!
We can opt in or out to a degree (by living and working in London, I agree to the compromise). In other regards (environmental, predominantly), we are all affected by a few countries' greed.

Your not going to pull me in on this Leaglebeagle.
Your legal skills are apparent, and I don't have time for this debate.

Apologies - was an attempt at humour that followed on from a discussion with Swinging_johnson_v1 in another thread. |

it just continues my theory that the tabloids are taking over mainstream media. Look at M. Jackson trial all over CNN., and when Spears announced her pregnancy it made front page of local area newspaper.
Just an idea that went wrong.. Im sure the newspaper had good intentions (someone snaps a photo at an opportune moment) or someone takes a photo of an event they cant send a photographer to. Just allowing the public to become freelance photographers. They drivers just took it the wrong way and dont abbide by the same code of ethics most of us photographers do...
