Believe it or not, but this is NOT a sarcastic post. The minimalism challenge was my first here on DPC, and I am very happy with the scores it got. It wasn't really that great of a pic and when I saw some of the other submissions, I really didn't expect to even break the last 10 places. I just want to say thanks to all the people who commented on it and voted on it. I hope to continually improve myself as a photog and with this community I'm sure I have the supportt I need. Thanks again.

I'm really new here too!! Minimalism was my second challenge and I've been SO humbled by the staggering number of truly great photos that come through this site! I feel like I've already learned leaps and bounds about taking photos and processing them....hopefully you feel the same way :-)
And, who knows? Maybe in a couple years you and I can move up the ranks a bit!
Till then...it's gonna be one heck of a great learning experience! |

Hi guys and welcome to DPC. I'm still sort of a newbie, been around since Oct 2004. Yeah, it's a wonderful learning experience. You both have great attitudes. I pulled a 0% in a recent challenge - LOL - it was gawd awful when I look back at it now.

Ive ended up at 6% in a past challenge. But I've learnt from the mistake :-)
Welcome to dpc! its definetely a never ending learning experience. When I joined way back in August 2004 I didnt know half the things I know now about photography. Stick with it and its a very rewarding experience.
