Laughing out loud - if you've only seen it at DPC, you must not be online much! |

Thank you so much! I took a picture of it for all to see. I am so honored.
How about a consolation prize for Artyste - like a visible straight-jacket. ;-)

A funny story about 'Net abbreviations:
A few years back, when I was new to being online, I had learned a few abbreviations and felt I was getting the hang of it quickly. I entered a discussion area one evening hoping to meet and converse with a woman. Keep in mind, I am a nice guy and always polite. I managed the attention a lady who was aggreeable to a private conversation away from all the others in that discussion area. After a couple minutes, she typed "ASL." Well, undaunted I went back to the discussion area and hooked up with another lady who also allowed a PM exchange. After some pleasantries, she too, typed "ASL." This happened 3 or 4 more times and I dinally got so discouraged that I thought, "Something must really be wrong with me." Back in the group discussion room, I asked anyone who would confirm it for me, "What does ASL mean?", knowing full well what the answer was. Well, I ROFL when someone explained it is typed when someone wants to know the other person's Age, Sex and Location.
I thought all these women were calling me a dirty name! |

I've seen LOL explained as both Laughing Out Loud and Lots Of Laughs over the years...
TNSTAFFL was the one that stumped me the first time...
There's No Such Thing As A Free Lunch!

Just to think.... x number of years from now, all these acronyms will become part of the language due to common usage and people will actually SPEAK like that, too!
Gruesome thought! |

I'm waiting for them to be included in Webster's... it's only a matter of time. |

I already think like that. Like the other day when some chick was tailgating me, then finally got out from behind me and into the middle lane, where she promptly began tailgating the poor sap there, who hit his brakes hard, causing the tailgater to slam her brakes on & squeel her tires, causing the dozing guy behind her to slam into her car! I got a good look at her face as she got hit and I was saying ROFL!!! in my head! |

Well, I'm totally in it for self-preservation, and avoiding expensive repairs. That's why I slow way down for tailgaters & am very ginger on the brakes. LOL. |

Not the smartest thing to do, though. It's seemingly harmless, but you could be a contributing factor in a traffic death. If you really do think it's funny, it's much smarter to just get the heck out of the way and live another day. |

I love pushing the antagonizing driver off the highway on the way home! it's soooo much fun.
Word of advice, don't get in front of me if you drive like that. I won't apply my brakes just because you did. |

Wouldn't want that six pack of beer to slide off the seat if you hit the brakes too hard? |
