This is a very unique shot. The water has just a nice hue. I dont care for the composition very much though. I think maybe if there was more of the water to the left side behind the kid with the floaty the proportions would look better. The effect is good though.

I like the effect the water gives, nice colour and light. More water may have been better, but facial features of the left subject are interesting, which could have been lost with more water...

What Chez has done here is combine a high contrast silhouette with a soft-focus "glow" look. It's very unusual. Where the effect is manifest, it's quite nice. However, in the "meat & potatoes" part of the image, where the action is taking place (basically the lower left quadrant) we have a very confused, dark area that's quite annoying. So for me the image is basically a high-scoring failed experiment. The PROCESS is great, but the image itself isn't working real well for me.

I've changed the image and given it more water, which I intially cropped, taken away some of the softness... |
