Just trying some new things. These were taken at my parents' home in the mts. The only way that I could get the second shot (wild turkey) was through their bedroom window, which had a screen. Can you see the screen? Do you think it would still do ok printed?

If I could view the full size it would help. I really like the first one.

The turkey shot I can't see a screen. You don't have these on a website that you can post the link to?

Please don't post the big ones in the forums though. Just use the link. If you have thumbnail size images to use for the link then that will work as well.

Remember there are dial-up users here.

ok, how do I do the thumbnail size again? I read the tutorial but I'm obviously doing somthing wrong. I tried it first with the hyperlink thing and when it wouldn't do it right, I tried the thumbnail block.

the thumbnail feature in the forums only works if the photos have been uploaded to DPC. because you are not a paid member, you could only do the thumbnail feature for photos you have uploaded for challenges (you don't have any portfolio space).

you would need to create both thumbnail and full-size images on your own webspace first. then you would need to create a post where you insert your thumbnails and link those to the full-size images on your own webspace.

you can also just post the full-size images on your own webspace and then create text links in the forum.

Yah. I was hoping to see a close up of the turkey to see if I can see screen. It does look a little fuzzy and that could be the screen. The other one looks good. The tree does nothing but cover a beautiful scene for me. Maybe move to the right some.

LoL Glenda your having a time aren't you. :)
Okay. #1 I like, good look with the clouds across the valley below.
Tree is just a bit cut off, but it's a nice shot.
#2. Is okay, the focus could be a bit stronger. I think the pebbles are a bit too bright.
Nice shots and glad your joining in. Keep them coming...but linked. :)

Ya did it.

The landscape is a nice composition. I like how you captured the low lying clouds. As Justine mentioned the tree is cut off so a little less zoom may help.

For the turkey portrait the composition seems to work however the image is a little over exposed. You can tell this by the areas of white where there is absolutely no detail. If this was shot on auto, try program mode (still fully auto with a bit more flexibility) and use exposure compensation.

Oh, no wonder it wasn't working! lol I was beginning to think I must be really dumb. I was doing what the instructions said to do & it wasn't working. Thanks!
