Thanks, but I doubt it. I'm guessing high-scoring, 7+ to ribbon. I'm not sure 6.9xxx will even make top 10. Assuming it holds up, that is.

It's my during the challenge record on commnets 41 WOW. And my highest score but these is not for sure till it ends.
For this reason I felt guilty and I commented at around 100 pics on this challenge...

Some of the "LACK of COMMENTS" drive me up the wall. I've got a good image here, and the 2's, 3's and 4's, never seem to leave comments, and I would love to know what it is they feel make this image so bad, in their eyes! I've received 19 comments, and that is a good thing, but all say pretty much the same thing, and all are good. I just wish I knew was going through the minds of the low scorers.

I rthink we are all in the same boat, I have an image I thought was pretty ok, the 25 comments seem to support it but the votes just don't its sitting on 5.7. weird really.

Well I am happy! I have a good image, the score is pretty high and the comments are all positive (just few suggestions here and there). It's GOOD!

Simple math, and an addiction to hitting the "Update" button...!

If you know what your total score was (average times the number of votes) and then you hit the update button, and once again calculate the new average times the number of votes, and then take the difference, you know what the most recent vote(s) were.

Not necessarily. May be people who sorted votes in first pass are adjusting them. I have seen changes in my score with NO change in the number of votes cast. Happens all the time.

Also, even at this number of votes cast just a few votes can have a tangible effect. Suppose you had 350 votes, all 5's, for 1750 total and average 5.000 â�� now you get 3 votes of 3 in succesion, for 353 votes and 1759 points. The new average is 4.9830, which LOOKS a lot worse.

I can't wait until this challenge voting is done, not only to see my range of scoring, but to see what everyone else did. This has been one of the more contraverisal challenges in a while, with scores going up and down like a yo-yo, and then all the strange commenting that has been reported. It will be interesting to go back and read reviews from people on different entries. Personally, I have not, to date received any negative comments. One was constructive, all the rest very, very positive. Currently sitting just above a '6', which will be my personal best and make me very happy.

Well got a reasonable score going then the last 2 votes have been 3's just waiting the third :(

Last night my score was 6.43 and 6 votes later with 3 very positive comments my score dropped to 6.38? It will be interesting to see how many votes get "thrown out" through the DPC "audit".

I expect to see about 20-30 less votes than the actual total and a jump in everyones scores (more than what normally happens in the open challenges).

can you please explain what this means..?... i'm fairly new to this site... and while my minimalism scores are o.k... it's my moods scores that are up and down, i find the night raters are VERY hard compared to the day....

When voting closes at midnight tonight, all votes on your entry submitted by voters who didn't evaluate 20% or more of the entries will be eliminated. They also use some sort of top-secret algorithm (or whatever) to weed out "suspicious" voting patterns and eliminate those votes. So if a member voted nothing but 1's or nothing but 10's, those woudl get tossed; so, presumably, would the votes of someone who scored all 1's and 10's, nothing in between. None of us know exactly what's being "hunted", but the end result is you always wind up with fewer votes tallied, by some small percentage, than the number yous aw just before the voting closed.
