Its strictly USB, you transfer your photos directly to it using a computer. You said earlier that you were going to be around computers the whole time you were on holidays.

See my previous comments and link regarding the X-Drive. It does not require a computer and the battery life is excellent--battery pack back-up should extend the life if needed (no access to power supply). The price should be better than what I payed last September--$200 for 20 gb. If I hadn't needed it just then, I probably would have held out for the 40 gb and paid a little more. |

Okay, that won't work for me. I will have a computer available almost every night, so I can dump photos at the end of the day but I was looking for something to take with me "in the field" (so to speak) as I was shooting.
Since I leave tomorrow and there don't seem to be any *perfect* options at this point I will just buy a 1GB card and bring my laptop with me. Should suffice...I hope...

ahhh I also have enough card space to allow a full days shooting... I have about 4 gigs worth of cards i carry with me.
Check at henry's on Queen. They have a second store down the street, and i know they have something you could use in thw field.
