Photoshop is pretty expensive. Photoshop Elements 3 is around $100, its not as powerful as photoshop but it does do alot. I have Elements 3 and feel it is a good starting place to lean before laying down the money for photoshop, IMO.

Honestly I like Elements 3. I have played with photoshop and right now for me it is beyond my abilities so until I lean more I'm sticking with Elements and learning what I can about photoshop here for future use. If you get it and have any questions let me know.

Wow, thank you very much.(blushing) I have only entered 3 challenges so far, I have been very busy with work etc...but hopfully soon I will get more time.

the GIMP has essentially all the functionality of Photoshop and it's free: the GIMP
