I've got like 12 comments on my latest photo. I know its not good, but the other photos i've entered, that i consider to be pretty good, didn't have anywhere near this much feedback at this point.

If the photo is good than all you need to see is "good job".
take the rest of the comments for what they are.

Seems to be that way with the bad and real good. My entry for Minimalism is a bad one and it has already got 15 comments.

I have to agree with this usually if the photo is good only 1 or 2 comments is neccesary because the first person usually says it all so the third person doesnt really have must more to add except that the photo is good thats why i usually jus second people or qoute whats been written

Generally the top 25% or less (recognition for a great submission)
and the bottom 25% (offers of ways to help and/or pointing out what went wrong)
are where most comments are directed.
Solid 5.0-5.5 are the shots that get the least amount of comments.

I usually comment on pictures that are either very good or very bad in my opinion and so can be with more people here. In the last challenges I have been voting in I did try to comment on all pictures that I voted less than 4 or above 7 or so.
If more people do the same then that can be the reason. |

Ummm, during voting on a contest, I normally don't see any prior comments. Do you????? In other words, how does one know that someone else has already commented???? How would the third person know he/she is not the first person or the fiftieth person????? |

I would say the voting is up right now in general with people trying to get more comments for the contest coming up.
And thats okay with me, all my comments have been good. |

The current number of votes you have recieved may also be impacted by the up and coming challenge where to qualify, one must have more comments given than revieved..... |
