My mother has a friend who works for Adobe and I just ordered mine today. It's going to take a couple months but worth the wait.

Any chance of you posting a review, focussing on new features etc over CS, when you've had a play?

I will yes. Good idea.

First Impressions.
Loads, closes faster then previous versions.
Install was easy and fast.
I have had Adobe Photoshop since 4.5. All legal copies along with Adobe Go live. Each up-grade has been expensive and an improvement. Also each upgrade has been a birthday, Christmas or anniversary gift!
Since I̢۪m coming at this from 7.01 I don̢۪t know what CS was like, but I know I like this CS2.

Vanishing Point is pretty cool. I've only tried it in play.
Adobe Bridge is a very handy additional browser and easy to use for arranging files, ranking shots, and adding titles, or information.
Advanced Noise reduction...works great.
I haven̢۪t tried Optical Lens Correction, but looks good for barrel distortion.
Raw files should really be more flexible from what I̢۪m reading. Also there is Digital camera and DNG support support for digital cameras, to ensure lifetime access to your digital camera raw files by converting them to the DNG format.

I downloaded my CS2 last night.
Love it already, that new bridge is great.
Noise reduction doesn't work as well as I had hoped for, so I'll be keeping my neat image plugin.
The new smart sharpen will take some experimenting, but I think it can be awesome once you know how to make the most of it.
The new healing tool is even better than before.
Haven't really played with the others yet.
There really ARE a bunch of lovely new toys in this version.

I also downloaded the training video with it, about 70 minutes of it. A very worthwhile intro to some of the new features.

I am thrilled!

i am particularly interested in how Adobe bridge performs, as the browse images option in CS is a TOTAL dog and very disappointing...

Theres a little QuickTime you can watch.
I think I like it...so far anyway.
