Is it possible to have grainy shots with iso 100 without making long exposures? Like about 1/30s... does that make it noise for a photo?

you can add noise in post processing. Or by cropping and enlarging.

No but my question is it possible that may canon 20D be grainny at ISO 100... at 1/30? that is not that long of exposure to create grainny shots... i am having one or another shot getting grainny at this low exposure.. and i think that should not be happining.

Well if your using a black back ground then you might wanna try over exposing by a half a stop or a stop right, then Since noise distribution is not unifrom accross RGB channels go throught the channles and see which one is the noisiest and do a despekle and noise filter also neat image and that ninja program are good i hear this method has worked for me i cant say it will for you but its worth a shot i'l try any thing once . . .
