I'm starting with the 20d and after a few jobs, i plan on upgrading that to a EOS-1D Mark II. I sold the d70 locally, and just have to get rid of the d100 and 1 more lens. keeping my F5 and a couple of lenses just incase.

Are people making fun of you?
Calling your cameras 'toys'?
You have white lens envy?
Nikons are unreliable? Technologically obsolete?
The Nikon service rep called you a pussie?
You have a need/want/lust for a 1Ds Mk2? (you are not alone...)
I went with canon for one main reason - cost. I wanted a D70 but didn't want to wait any longer savings wise, and the rebel was about $300 cheaper. In theory lenses and such are cheaper or more of them to choose from, but that is a minor issue to me. canon is the 'leader' in digital imaging...some weight there, but it's not like Nikon is asleep at the wheel.

after 11 dedicated years, 7 bodies, countless lenses and accessories, yes, I'm switching
I still think Nikon's film bodies are the best, and I'm keeping my F5 and some older lenses.
