If anyone could please help I would be grateful!
I am trying to do an action with a STOP command in it to allow the user ( me ) to select the required area to crop.
Start>Open Image>STOP "Select required area to crop">Resize to 45 x 45 pixels>Save
(All images I have are different shapes and sizes so the same crop on all images will not work hence requiring the CROP function )
That is the idea but as soon as the stop command takes place it tells me there is an error and does not allow me to supress the error. I am trying to do this to produce 1 off thumbnails of my images and as my images are not all square I don't want the thumbnails to not look like the image ( just a selection of them ).
I did download a few text action examples with the stop command in to try and see where I was going amiss but to no avail. If anyone could help out I would be very grateful...

Michael - I haven't done much with the stop actions, but can suggest maybe using 2 separate actions and assigning a function key combo to them to speed up the process or just manually open the images and make the selection and then initiate the crop, resize and save actions. |

I agree about the two separate actions. With one, you would have to have your mind made up, but there's a risk that you realize you'd prefer it if the image were nudged a little in one direction which you would have to go all the way back to the beginning to do over. With, to, you could fudge around with it a little and then, when you know you've got it where you want it, execute the real deal. Actually, that's only one anyway--selecting and opening an image are probably not automatable since there's choice involved. Might that be the souce of the error? I don't know. |
