I think it and the composition work well here.
A couple minor suggestions:
1) Use the sponge tool and desaturate the 3 horizontal grills up front to remove some of the color reflections in them.
2) Signature/Title is way too big for the picture and perhaps would look better off to the right, smaller and in the border/frame area.
Just my opinion. |

Nice Mustang. Looks over saturated though? Seems like the red is washed out. I love me some classic cars.

Thank you Brad, I will try that out now.
Can anyone help with the ID of this car? I am having trouble with it.

"Can anyone help with the ID of this car? I am having trouble with it."
It's a '46 -'48 Ford with a chopped top and a few other minor kustomizations, dummy spots, skirts, orginal grill though.

I've tried to make the color on the mustang pic look more natural here; some of the differences are subtle, but the red looks less flat now...
Robt.

Sorry for asking and in no means trying to be rude but I'm trying to understand your comment. You said in the same sentance "Looks over saturated" and "washed out", I'm confused. I thought the following described Saturation: A characteristic of the observation of colour. Saturated colors are called vivid, strong, or deep. Desaturated colours are called dull, weak, or washed out.
Are you saying the background was oversaturated and the can washout or the other way around?

The car was over saturated and in the process it washed out the detail in the car.

OK thanks you. I sorry for asking but I was a bit confused. This one is as close to straight out of the camera as I can get it. Other than border and text, I just did a little level and contrast with USM and saved for web @150k. I guess the sun was just to bright today.

Hi Jeremy,
As a personal preference (had it been mine) here's what I would do:
Went into the Hue/Saturation and yanked the Cyan out of it. To me, it has a way of cleaning up the chrome a little better (reflections in wheels, mirror & tone in windows). I also went into selective, added yellow to it and black to give the paint a little more vibrancy without over saturating it. Open each and click taskbar back & forth to compare.
Title and signature size & positioning are again a personal preference.

You've done a nice job with this. I take a lot of pic at a local car show and people don't mind moving for you to get a picture of their "pride and joy", so I might have asked if they would help you get a better shot by sliding out of the picture for a quick shot. As I look at this car, not to nit pick, I think it a 2-door sedan not a coupe. Was the back of it longer and sloping or did it have a definite trunk?

I dont remember really. The people in the shot were passerbys, so it was hard to get a shot without anyone in it, tis why I made the car in color and the rest in b/w

Actually the passerby is pretty much to be expected, it is the "Eye full" setting by the front fender that I was referring to.
