Took this the ther day, of course out of the challenge time frame, but would this be a good minimalism?

Great capture. I can only give you my opinion but the large vivid storm cloud, to me, over powers your subject and becomes the strong point. I find my eyes going to the beauty of the cloud. Even though a great photograph I believe it would of suffered.
Just my opinion.

| To me the subject is the cloud, not the house. Great picture. Really dramatic. You see that kind of cloud and expect it to be dark not light. I wish I had clouds like that around here. |

If u crop the higher part of the picture, to remove some of the clouds it would make of the house the focus of the picture.
Very good one indeed

I agree - crop a little off the top and a little off the bottom and I would have scored it fairly high. Needs a little more work, but here's what I mean:

I don't know...great clouds seem to be doing pretty darn well lately.
Even better if you burn em a bit! ;^)
Good luck Puma - I like your capture, albeit I like it better with kpriest's crop on it.

As I said in an earlier post, I think this is a great shot. But even with the crop the clouds, to me, are still the subject or at the very least overpowering the subject. If someone was to hand me this photograph the first think my eyes would see is the amazing cloud. I would say something like wow, what a storm.
In this case I believe you took to good of a picture for with the storm. I know that sounds funny. But I want you to know it's a great picture but even with the crop the clouds seems to over the house. |
