I'm not near ready to try any of this yet, but how much do you hobby/part-time photopeeps charge for weddings, portrait settings, or senior pics? Just curious, for that day when I feel ready to give it a shot.

The only event I've taken pictures where I got paid was waaaaay back in the late '80's and I got 50 bucks for taking pictures of a christmas party. As for weddings...I've taken pics of one wedding, but I did it for free since it was a friend and I was actually part of the wedding party.

Look through your local phone directory and get a list of photographers in your area that do the type of work you want to do. See if they have a website and check for their pricing structure. Work out how much it would cost you personally to do the jobs and add whatever you feel your time is worth.
