Would this have done well in either the Ansel Adams or Abandoned challenges?

I like it. It seems to have a nice, rich tonal range. My personal opinion is that either the landscape or the structure should be featured more boldly in this shot. As it is, the building is not quite large enough to be the dominant focal point and it's too big to let the viewer focus on the landscape. Since you don't have huge mountainous or forested background, I would be tempted to move closer to the barn and really examine its shapes and tones more.
But as I said, my initial response is that I like this shot and think you captured this particular scene nicely. TFS!

Thanks! I have a few where I was much closer to the building, I'll post one later. My friend was shooting with tri-x, and I'm dying to see how his turned out. |
