This is the second time I have had a forum topic deleted by who ever.

It was regarding the Nikon D50 digital camera just announced by Nikon. The initial response was that there was already a thread on this. I checked of course prior to submitting my thread and found nothing. I thought I was passing along new and important consumer information. I later found out that the "forum search" is not working, it directs me to a internet google search. So no warning to me, and presto its gone.

I happen to think that my thread had valuable member information. As it happen last time, I have some private sources for information that I like to pass on to the DPC members. I don't appreciate this thread deletion. I did my own due diligence and found that there were no similiar topics on line at the time.

Maybe a notice or comments would have helped me, otherwise I am ranting and feeling picked on.

I still see your other thread on the home page so I don't understand what you mean. I've seen threads being locked with a reference to other threads but not deleted.

This would seem to be the previous thread mentioned.

Strangely, it also seems to have been started by you?

We don't delete threads (except for the ones that are started by spammers), but we do lock threads on topics that have already been posted. From the looks of Ganders' post, maybe you just overlooked your previous thread?

Also, the google search that you are redirected to searches only within dpchallenge - it's serving as our search function while the other one is temporarily disabled. It works pretty well.
