if they're dirty, it's like looking through a lensbaby ALL THE TIME! that would rock!

I do like those lens baby photos, but you can only use it every once in a while, or you'd get sick of it. Is it really worth the money for such little use?

I'm only a photoshop beginner (and I haven't even tried this at all), but it seems that the same effect could be quite easily achieved via photoshop.

I'm not trying to pick on the lensbaby, I'm honestly trying to understand if IT can do something that PS can NOT.

You can do a lot of things in PS that you can also do in camera, including creating photo-realistic images. That doesnt mean you should not do it in the camera. Some people like to play with the lens baby on the camera and have a fun toy to play with. Some people do it in photoshop instead because they cant justify the price to themselves. Neither way is wrong.

i like to use it because it produces offbeat images that i might not even think about trying in photoshop. it's like getting "happy mistake" photos without making a mistake! :D

i've used the melancholytron to great effect on a number of photos, but LOOKS like something i did in photoshop.

the photos that come from a lensbaby can be complete crap photointegrity-wise, but sometimes it gives you a really cool effect.

if i had a film camera i wouldn't have one. but with digital, i can shoot 100 shots with it and find 2 or 3 that i like. and it still takes less time than artificially tweaking something in photoshop.
