My Canon 20D arrived today... w()()t
Sadly, it was nearly dark by the time i got to play with it...but here are a couple of shots taken with the unit. Pretty impressive for no flash at night time... (just a few citranella candles for lighting)

Saj,
in the post field you have 4 icons above the empty white field. click the rightmost of them, then enter ONLY the numbers identifying your image, not the rest of the url, and hit "enter"; the following will happen ΓΆ€”
Posting the larger image directly is real bad for those on dialups.
Nice noise-free shots, though :-)
Robt.

Congrats on the new toy! I got a 20D recently to celebrate a job promotion, and chose that model specifically because it's said to be particularly good in low-light. I used ISO 1600 for this picture, taken a month ago in northern Norway:
Have fun!
James, who didn't know how to post thumbnails either--thanks bear_music :-)

I am definitely looking forward to seeing what some night shots look like with this (moon/stars) |

As for night photos, I tried a moon shot with the much maligned 75-300 USM III and the 20d through London light pollution the other day - I am pleased with it, though it admittedly does not compare to the guys with the telescopes and converters.
As for recent nightshots, this was handheld on H mode
An amazing camera for us amateurs! |

If I had to do it over again, it'd be a 20d all the way. Not because I think my skills will ever exceed the 300d, but just because the 20d seems to be built so much sturdier and its low-noise.
Maybe next time.
