I know for what I've readed that this lens it isn't the sharpest in the world, but it is not also the most expensive. And it is VR! Some people say that they can take shoots at 1/8 sec and withought any noticeable camera shaking.

I'm looking for a all-around lens and this zoom range seem s good. And also to use it in low light, like in shooting weddings, inside the church withought flash.

To the people hwho have triede it or howns it: is it good deal for money? Or a sigma or tamron f2.8 will be better for the low light? Please give me your oppinion and post some shoots if you have some.

Thank's.

I own this lens.. its VERY sharp I think and I have taken hand held shots at 1/4th sec with very little or NO blur, in fact this is the lens that spends most time on my D2H. I also have the AF-s 80-200mm NON-VR because i tried the VR version and it is not as effective (VR) as the 24-120mm.. you will love it as I do. I can put up a sample if you wish but you can trust my words, its a fantastic lens.

I shot this lens at 1/8th and it was perfectly clear IMHO.

Thank's. So in low light it is an advantage to have the VR... At least it seems.

Any other opinions?
