I thin it looks pretty nice, the lighting looks just right, you might want to blur out the background, the wrinkles in it are distracting. |

What iso setting have you used?
It looks grainy..... |

I used a hi ISO, I think 800 so I could get a faster shutter speed, what ISO would you use? I found it difficult to not get blur with a lower sutter speed....

I don't know the values of the exposition (people don't put them in the photo page, so even if we some times want to help it's a bit dificult), but here's a hint:
If youre troubled by the shutter speed beig so lo that it looks blurred (motion blur), instead of blowing the iso so high it get noise to be visible (I find hard to belive that all of that grain is only iso 800! - if it is there's something wrong) try this:
- metter the exposure at the iso that you wanted, let's say iso 400. Let's say the correct mettering would be 1/4sec at f3.6 for example.
-put the camera in shutter priority and set it to a shutter speed that you know that it woun't get motion blur. Let us say 1/50 or 1/60sec (I gess you'll be in wide angle wide open, so it's more that enough).
- compensate in the EV acordingly with the shutter speed increase. I guess that passing from 1/4 to 1/60 it will be +3 or +4 EV.
give it a go.
And post some more photos of the model.

I'm seeing a lot of noise/aberations in the back, I would recommend the use of a side or back light to just highten the contrast whilts retaining the low-key idea. |

Nuno,
Thanks for your response. I will defintley try again with the lower ISO and playing with the EV (Exposure compensation?) I think that is what that acronym is isn't it? Thanks for the detailed explanation....
