April 30, 2005 The Essence of Self Portraiture - Photography Call for
Entries. The Center for Fine Art Photography invites photographers

working in the avant garde to participate. The Center welcomes works

York announces its 2005 National Photography Competition. The

Leonjr there is a site called Circle of Photographers,,they let you post one a month and if you are a member and yours is one they pick than you are elgible to win cash.

I will try this but when i did a search on google there was artical about how they ripped someone off have you had any luck with these folks yet? thanks

I think you'd have more success generating income by selling your photographic services....I know I do!

Being able to post a notice of your having won a prize in a juried competition can be a powerful marketing tool, but contests are not going to be a significant source of income in themselves.

Here's a site you have to pay to join but they have cash prizes, $1000 for POTM.

Surprisingly, while there are about 20times more poeple claiming to be "pro" shooters now, there is still an increased demand for photographers. In the world of Haircare, where I make the bulk of my revenu, there is an heavy demand. Many hairstylists whom wish to participate in Hair/make-up competitions (and there are tons) need to submitt "front cover" photos as entries...not all hairstylists have the same budgets....or the same talent/potential, so there is room for many levels of photographers.

Darren, as for tips... well...the one thing I've come to firmly believe in is that, a photo is 30% model, 30%hair and 30% make-up.... that leaves me with only 10% responsability!!
