Well, ouch! I think this is the first free study I've entered, and with a little under 5 hours to go, we're already at 427. With all the usual last minute entries, will we hit 500? Either way, I'm sure voting will be a pleasure! =]

Do you think the amount of pictures makes voting more difficult?

I looking forward to voting on this one, and hopefully commenting on a lot of them. I think it's going to be great -- always such a wide variety of shots in the free studies. I admit sometimes I get bored, like looking at 200 shots of rubber duckies lol.

Heck yes! Once I start voting, I usually can't stop until the screen showing all the images and my votes shows up, indicating I've voted on them all. The Abandoned Building challenge took me several hours.
They should put an "Intermission" photo in after every 100 entries.

No, not difficult -- lengthy. But, I don't think my tone was one of bitter complaint. That's what the =] is for. =]

And where exactly are you finding the extra 8 hours to vote and comment on 500 photos in your life? I barely have time to submit mine let alone vote on 499 others... please tell me your secret! :") |

I really dont think alot of people are going to sit through all 500 and vote does that mean the last person who submitted wont have a chance?

No, the images come up at random and each voter gets a different sequence.

Ken, your photographic asides have been my chief source of entertainment for the last few sessions browsing the forums. Keep'em coming man, I love it!

Not to worry: I have my commenting machine all greased up and ready to go. This is the kind of challenge where many good images will fall by the wayside. It is a test on just how interested members really are. I think they should at least add two more ribbons when the count goes over 500 like purple for 4th and green for 5th. |

I think the big challenges should be split in two (at random). And while we're at it, let the people in A vote on the B's and vice versa.
Easier and fairer that way. |

Traditionally, out of the Forums, the fourth placdd ribbon reference is green; Jacko, I think, has like 19 of those, or something. |

I entered this challenge and do hope that it does not get to 500 hundred entries. That is really too many to vote on and I feel it important to vote on all entries. It is unfair to the photoartists that enter to do otherwise.
If you are just entering for the sake of entering or do not feel your image is a good representation of your work then I urge you to reconsider just for this challenge because of the large numbers.
