I personally think that the tension created in the original by the crop is terrific.
By the way, I think I'll stop submitting to challenges and just post my attempts here afterward :) Sure seems to be the best way to get lots of comments and discussion about photos! |

But then you get numbskulls like me being foolish. Well, I guess I do that in the challenge comments as well, but without the benefit of experienced photographers setting me straight. |

It's a personal aesthetic decison; there's no right or wrong here. I supect that of the 3 crops shown thus far mine would fare best at the hands of the voters, but that's primarily because it doesn't stray to either extreme. And that's not necessarily a good thing, except as far as showing that if you want to proffer an image to be voted upon, it's usually best not to stray too far from the beaten path.
