My dark side reared its head again and apparently talked 'me' into entering an image for the 'People' challenge that I shouldn't have submitted (based on initial comments). I hate to miss the member challenges because I am paying for the opportunity to take part in them.

(I hope to eventually learn to go toward the light..... and not look back!)

It's hard to resist...in the end all of the experience (good or bad) is useful. Good luck and keep smiling! ;^)

Oh Casualguy, I feel your pain! Been there, done that. I think our ultimate goal should be to not take the results so seriously -- but trust me -- I'm talking more to myself than you!!! If we could just learn to use the experiences to enhance our creativity, our pickiness for detail, and like glad2badad says, have the whole experience help us, rather than stress so much about our score or where we end up, we would enjoy it so much more, right???

Well, if it's any comfort, you are in good company, and we should all take it in stride and keep trying!!

Good Luck!!!

What you have to decide is why you now suddenly feel like entering was not the best choice. You had a week to take your best shot of the challenge topic. You enter what you consider to be your best shot. All the comments you receive, or even lack thereof, are giving you information about your image. If the masses do not like it then you either have a bad image or it is set to appeal to a niche market. If you do not receive many comments and your score is kinda average then it translates to your image being uninspiring and lacking something.

If you enter a members' challenge and you are getting input, either negative or positive, then you are learning and thus getting your money's worth. It may not be what you want to hear, but in the long run it should help you.

I'm in the same situation. I didn't have a really good shot to submit but I wanted to participate. I submitted one that I took on Saturday afternoon. I Didn't get home until Sunday afternoon so I submitted under the wire. Apparently the voters don't like it very much considering my 4.6 and 0 comments but I like it and I'm sure I'll learn something. It could be my lowest score to date. Oh well.
