hi guys, not posted on here for a while, i lost the bookmark, and my memory being like it is, i forgot what this place was called :(

i've just purchased a set of Interfit 150i flash units and the Studio Flash Transmitter for cableless flash shooting..

i was like a kid @ christmas today when i got home to find them waiting, but when i tried the Transmitter nothing happens and i found that the batteries i'd put in the unit were so hot they were almost untouchable! i've tried a couple of different batteries that i had, and all got to the same heat without the unit working as advertised - i noticed that when i flick the on switch the power LED doesn't come on..

any1 know a possible solution to this? or is it a case of me getting onto my supplier and getting a new unit? (i need this for a shoot on wednesday)

thanx

While I have a pair of Interfit 250s, I don't have their wireless transmitter. I have something more like RF Transmitter

I have used it while setup at a rodeo so I can shoot from all around the arena, and have never had an issue with it.

As far as your problem goes, you may need to call Interfit and see if they have any cases of this happening before.

Best of luck,

I thought I had a link for a state side reseller for Paterson/Interfit, but guess I didn't bookmark it and can't find it now. :-(

sorry

Paterson were absolutely no help at all!

their tech support guys took 2 days to reply to my e-mail (2 days too late) apparently the IR must have had reversed polarity.. i sent the unit back to warehouse express yesterday

i called them on wednesday morning over a problem with the 150i's and the sync cable connected to my 300D they weren't any help and were infact very agressive toward me
they told me nothing was wrong with thier units and it must be my equipment!

the guys over @ kpprof.com were very helpful and we got the problem sorted by helping me make a polarity crossover cable, and got the units working with the sync cable :)
