I was about to submit this one:
But a negative thought came to me that it would not scored very well.
Do you think I was right?

I feel that I would have given this a 6. It seems a tad dark, but for the most part, I think it would have been a good entry.

| Yeah, a little dark and I wouldn't have cropped so tightly on the bottom -- I think it adds unwanted tension. |

Good catch Paul, I didnt see that at first glance. Crop is a little tight down there.

This is a nice image but it is much too dark and the framing is too tight from below. I hope you don't mind but I applied to it some shadow/highlight, curves, USM and some dodge/burn (to lighten the shadows and brighten the eyes) together with a little bit of healing- and clone-brush in Photoshop.

After seeing these fixes... I would bring my score up to 7. And of course like General pointed out, if the crop was a little more loose on the bottom, I would give this an 8.
