Just as a reminder to everyone- these "nominations" are useless/until you prod the nominee in question into applying.

And thanks to bod for getting the AI theme song stuck in my head. Who do we cast as Simon?

Like blemt said, we technically don't take "nominees." Each person who is interested must apply.

Okay, then I nominate Zoomdak to apply. Maybe someone else (like me) can win a ribbon if we keep him busy doing SC stuff.

I nominate everyone! Every single member!

Keep 'em all busy with SC business and then perhaps I can score better and win a ribbon!

nominations.

I think the nominations should have been set up in a private manner. While I agree that all these people are great, I can't help but feel a bit hurt that no one's backed me up. It's fine to have no support on your back, but to see everyone backing up everyone else just seems like such a punch in the face to me at this point.

Don't worry too much, this is not a nomination-based system. It's an application-based one.

Can we nomintate Zoom's rock? That should solve the problem nicely!

I nominate Zoom's rock and Heida's burn tool!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

You have way too much time on your hands and are a very dangerous man with a computer. Excellent job btw!

That's just TOO funny. Made me LOL!! Excellent platform.

If I quit and rejoin, do I get the DSLR? I'd be willing. :)

Too many skeletons in my closet that are sure to come out in the campaign. Here's partial disclosure:
- I actually did inhale
- I have a record of anti-authority behavior
- I declared myself legally insane
- I take bribes

Sounds like you're perfect for the job. It will be good to have an inside man...

Sounds like a real politician to me. :)

My hat is off to anyone willing to step forward for the SC, regardless of how few or many "nominations" or "votes" they have received in this thread.

To ALL of you who have applied, best of luck and thanks for volunteering.

Having founded and administrated a web discussion board (of adults who often behave like spoiled children) for the last few years I really appreciate how much time and energy is given by SC and, whilst many of us try and let them know of our appreciation now and then, it's mostly a thankless task with more beration than admiration vocally expressed.

Looking forward to hearing who our new SC will be soon!

Kavey

PS. Marzipan RULES. There probably ain't a whole lot I would not do for marzipan. Well, except that! And THAT! But everything else, no problem!

I was gonna be a photographer but I saw it was negative.

Edit: I hope whoever takes the position will make me a little green hat for patty's day.

We've received around 30 emails from candidates and will no longer be accepting new applications after midnight tonight!

No fair I only had 4 days to decide. lol

My vote goes to Robert. He's present a lot in the forums where he has a helping hand for most everyone and often has a view on photographs which I would never have thought of, thus providing an 'off-mainstream' approach to DPC.
Brad has helped me a lot as well and he seems to be patient even if somebody has a hard time understanding. Enlarging his portfolio would already be worth it :)

Why don't you offer a larger portfolio to members for an extra price?

Just thinking probably something I would pay extra for.

Just a consideration, it might be nice to have some representation from other areas of the globe - but naturally, this consideration should be secondary to getting the best person for the job regardless of location.
