Appears 99% of DPCers don't know the difference. Nevertheless, some truly creative and imaginative entries!

don't be so high & mighty.

from dictionary.com:

pushpin

n : a tack for attaching papers to a bulletin board or drawing board [syn: thumbtack, drawing pin]

YES! Pushpins are tacks, ...as are thumbtacks!! (What a tacky question!) ;-)

I bought a box of "push pins" today to use for the challenge and it says Tacks on the box. Also did an image search on google, seems 90% of google feels that push pins are tacks also.

and tacks aren't always things to stick in stuff either. ok, technically, it would be "tack" in such a situation, or tacky, but ya know, when it is all said and done, it's not such a sticky situation.
