Sorry could not resist - the answer to the sleeping man is that he is a light house keeper. He fell asleep and forget to switch on the light after dark - the accident was a ship running aground on the rocks

Last question I promise :
What comes next in this sequence and why ? O, T, T, F, F, S,......

Your premise is flawed in that "someone" who is the father of every man would have to be there holding hands as stated at the onset... making the answer.... 3. :O)

Every morning he would use to the elveatot to get to the bottom floor then go off to work. But in the evening on his return from work he would get in the elevator and go up only to150th floor and walk the rest of the way up. why ????

No he does not need the excerise and no hes not visitng someone

The elevator only goes to the 150th floor. So he has to take take the stairs the remaining 70 floors.
or
The building 'stood' 220 floors but only occupied to the 150th floor which would be the top. The remaining 70 floors are not living areas.

A true story - converted into question:

A scuba diver found dead some 100 km from the nearest water, on the side of a mountain. Noone had seen him climb up there, nor it ws humanly possible to attempt such a thing in flippers with a mask and a oxygen tank on his back.

What happened?

Here is the riddle in question: two fathers, two sons, one grandfather and one grandson are walking on the beach holding hands - what is the fewest number of people present?

Alright, Iâll elaborate one last time, since I see this answer differently than everyone else.

Set aside two fathers and two sons, for a second. You have one grandfather and one grandson walking on the beach holding hands. The first man, is a grandfather and also a âgreat grandfatherâ. He is the son of his own father, not pictured in the riddle, yet every man alive has a father, making every man a son. The first man is a very old man, but able to walk on the beach with his grandson, the second man. This means that the first man, is a father as well as a son. The grandson is also a father (the riddle doesnât say that the grandson cannot have kids of his own) who has a son that is not present on the beach, at the time described in the riddle. This means that the second man is the son of his father, and is the father of his son, while at the moment is only holding hands with his grandfather.

That leaves two people. A great grandfather, holding hands with his grandson. Am I the only one that sees this?

Did we ever get the answer to this one? These replies are becoming more of a riddle than the original post! :)

[Later...]
If the answer is: it was a water-gun. I'm going to be very disappointed!!

Is this the urban myth about the scuba diver that got sucked up by the forest fire helicopter filling up with water and then dumping it over the forest? Anyone ever watch Mythbusters? They debunked this one pretty well.

I'm as small as an ant, as big as a whale. I'll approach like a breeeze, but can come like a
gale. By some I get hit, but all have shown fear. I'll dance to the music, though I can't hear. Of names I have many, of names I have one. I'm as slow as a snail, but from me you can't run. What am I
