What can I say about this lens? I'm completely amazed by the quality of the photos it can produce. Sharp even wide open, super saturation, great contrast, fast (enough) focusing, and built like a tank! I shot this last night, I would post more, but there's a people competition and I don't know which one's I'd like to keep anon for now ;-)
Settings: ISO 800, 1/80 shutter, F5.6 NO EDITING (besides resize/crop)
and a 100% crop

Heard something about it's not whatcha' got, but how you use it.
I have no idea what that refers to.
I'm just a small-town, shy lad that has lived a sheltered life.
You think anyone will buy that? ROFL |

San Diego lol...
yes i've heard that too somewhere. However, in this case i would have missed a lot of pictures if I didn't have that 2.8 :-) (I hate using iso 1600, looks so much worse than 800) |

It's hardware like that that is making it tougher to compete around these parts anymore.
The E-10's days are limited, only because I find myself needing/wanting to go beyond what it can do. When stuck under a glass ceiling of ISO80, F11 & 1/640, creativity is held back.
I could use ISO160 but it's kinda' ugly - 320 is no better than my old Sony Mavica 1.3MP floppy drive camera.

There's no such lens as an 80-200L 2.8 IS. This is the older version of the 70-200 made about 10 years ago. |

If it's concerning this lens you might like to know it's dubbed the Magical Drainpipe. Very often refered to as such. It inspired the name for the Prime Pipe as well. This is the Highest optically rated zoom lens Canon has ever produced. Just a fun fact ;-) |

FAQ's
I'm sure this has been posted before but I think it's pretty informative and worth a repeat. |
