I'm going with one of three items, or maybe two of the three.
If I see that someone has a symbolic reference to one or more of the items I'm going to rate the shot, the creativity and the technical skills used. |

I would think using just one of the items meets the challenge, however, in voting I would probably rate good photos that use all three higher than good photos only using one. Just my opinion.

Somebody from SC or the admins needs to lock his account down for the next week. So he can't even sign on.

i dont think that it would be right to vote someones photo down just because it doesnt have all of the items, if the challenge calls for one or more.

Folks, I think they left the challenge requirements vague on purpose. Im guessing that you may interpret it however you like, and have fun. I think this is a neat challenge idea. |

You are clearly mistaken, Canada' national paper is an Income Tax form.

I don't think people will vote higher for all 3 items in the shot. I can imagine some will try and create the game with hands and I think there maybe some fab rock pics too!!

I do hope I'm not missing the joke, but the title of this challenge clearly means you may photograph rock, or paper, or scissors, or any combination thereof.
Grammatically, because of the words 'one' and 'items' in that sentence, 'one' must refer to either 'rock, 'paper', or 'scissors'. Also, if you were required to include at least one of all three (note the different wording necessary to produce this meaning), then it would say 'your photograph must include each of these items.'
If I did miss the joke - well, I was laughing anyway.

every new challenge causes new misunderstanding(s) in requirments. I am new to DPC, but I already got used to it. But one thing I cant get used to: if I take photo of paper, somebody (voter) may decide, that it doesn't fit the challenge and vote 1 point. thank you for misunderstanding. anyway i going to take just one of them. |

I'll take a pic of a large sheet of paper, and claim there's a rock, and scissors, underneath.

Why not? If they are both equally good photos but one person was more creative in using all three items then why shouldn't they get an extra bump for being creative?
That doesn't mean I'm going to purposely give good photos with only one item a low score. I'm saying that creativity counts for something too. And yes, I know before you say it, a photo can still be creative with one item...all three in this one will just be MORE creative. ;^)

I am also going to only choose one of them, and when voting, I will vote on meeting the challenge which is as long as it has one of the above or more if you want then the challenge is meet.....it's about having fun too :) |

Sorry, didn't think it was needed. Good photo versus good photo. Use 3 items in the photo and it will probably require a little more effort to pull it off.

I don't know what's more fun, submitting photos, or reading the invariable arguments over semantics during each challenge. I'm new here and I'm still trying to figure out whether this is a photography site or a linguistics site. Feel free to check my spelling & grammar.
